Lisa Byrd - Practice Manager:
Lisa Byrd is currently our Client Services Director and Practice Manager. She has a BA in Communications and Business from Southern Connecticut State University. Lisa lives in Meriden and shares her life with her three rottweilers, Hannah, Richter and Chatty. Lisa also has two cats, Scooner and Eddie. Lisa trains her dogs in competition obedience, rally, agility, herding, tracking, carting and schutzhund. Lisa is also an obedience trainer in her spare time and teaches our classes that are held here at the clinic. Lisa's hobbies include, dog showing and training, going to the movies, going out to dinner, and is a race fan. She also has a love of dolphins, having swam with them several times. Items such a dolphins, rottweilers and Waterford crystal can be found all over Lisa's house. Lisa enjoys working with the animals and plans to continue in this field.
Ruth Stoeckert - Technician:
Ruth is originally from Southhampton/Long Island, NY. She joined the military September of 2002 and has been currently discharged from the National Guard. Before working at Meriden and Wallingford Veterinary Associates, Ruth worked at an all cat clinic in Connecticut. She currently lives in Meriden with her fiance' Michael, son Alex, and chihuahua Peanut. In her spare time she likes to play video games with her son.
Grace Hallock - CVT:
Grace Hallock is a certified veterinary technician and has been on staff since 1982. Grace is now enjoying semi retirement. She shares her home and life with her husband Bob, and their family of Boxers, parrots and a Whippet. Both she and her husband actively show in both breed and obedience, having 3 obedience titled Boxers, several breed champions and several youngsters about to make their ring debuts. She is active member of the Rhode Island and Middlesex Boxer Clubs and is currently instrumental in the formation of the Connecticut Boxer Club. In addition to her dog addiction, she enjoys reading and collecting Swarvoski crystal animals figurines. Her special interests in veterinary medicine include behavior, dentistry and the special bond that exists with people and their pets.
Roberta Davenport - Receptionist:
Roberta lives in Southington and shares her life with her husband Jeff, and their cat Cookie. Roberta has a BS in Biology from Southern Connecticut State University. Roberta's hobbies include reading, and is a big auto racing fan. She enjoys her job and plans to continue in this field.
Anne Coy - Receptionist:
Anne lives in Oxford with her 4 dogs, all rottweilers, Ben, Baron, Jayda and Neelah. Anne is involved in showing her dogs in obedience,rally, and agility. Her other hobbies include going to hockey games, gardening and attending dog events. This is Anne's first time working at a veternarians office, she is enjoying her job and plans to continue in this field.
Jennifer Bradley - Receptionist/Tech Assistant:
Jennifer has lived in Wallingford her whole life. After being a receptionist at a very large veterinary hospital in Connecticut, she decided to make the move to Meriden and Wallingford Veterinary Associates so she can learn more about the medical aspect. In her spare time she loves to work on and drag race cars, spend time with her boyfriend Michael of 7 years, and take care of her "zoo"- which includes a dog, guinea pig, hamster, leopard gecko and 2 snakes. 2009 is Jennifer's rookie season of drag racing with her dad and team SRT4. She also has an associates degree in multimedia/graphic design. She enjoys her job and is looking to advance in the veterinary field.
